Lisa Fonssagrives

It’s finally Friday
After a long week with little sleep I am pleased that the week is coming to an end.
Best of all it’s a long weekend here in Australia (because it’s Australia day on Monday!).

I spent Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in Newcastle this week (for work with no time at all to shop, which was really very annoying). I’ve been unable to arrange any pictures for today so instead I decided to do a post about Lisa Fonssagrives

Born on the 17/05/1911 Lisa Fonssagrives is considered by many to be the first supermodel a contemporary of Sofia Loren
she moved from Sweden to Paris in order to train for the Ballet only to become one of the highest paid models of her time.
But enough information lets take a look at the dreamy pictures and glamorous fashions of her day:

You may recognise the Silhouette here, can anyone name the designer who was inspired by this picture very recently?

Have a fantastic weekend!

She's gorgeous. Even bigger she has been in so many memorable photos.

I think it's such a shame that nowadays women lost their "grace and classiness".

I love these pictures xxx

Great photos, and it really was one of those weeks where nobody had time to blog let alone breathe!! I'm so glad we are all back to normal, somewhat...

Wow! Those photos are amazing! I love the one in which she's hanging off the bridge (?). Nice to know they were a little "out there" back then too.

I love that silhouette - the one you mentioned the recent fashion designer, but I can't pick who it is =(. Any clues?

P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I <3 Aussie bloggers

Thankyou everyone!
Oh and the designer who's collection that was in part inspired by Lisa Fonssagrives was John Galliano for Christian Dior.
I'll search for a link with pictures!

Beautiful photos. I've never heard of Lisa but she is so stunning - regal and haughty! I love it <3

Ok doll, try Skin Deep, Jane Bell Lane, at QV ph 96630060.
They are cheap but good - the therapists are lovely and do a proper job. They don't rush it and get tint in your eyes!

Hope that helps darling xxx
